On Thursday, August 10, all three crews at Plano Fire Station 1 were presented with PFRA’s Above and Beyond Award. It was presented to the firefighters on A-shift, who along with the firefighters on B and C shift, worked together to make sure a local family was outfitted with a special smoke alarm for a family member with a hearing impairment. All the crews at Station 1 recognized a need within the community and took it upon themselves to acquire and install this special unit to ensure the safety and well-being of this resident. PFRA is proud of all the firefighters at Station 1 and we congratulate them for going Above and Beyond.
