At the February meeting, Chief Greif presented PFRA members with fire pins commemorating their individual hours of service.  Since 2001, PFRA members have donated over 42,300 volunteer service hours to the City of Plano!

PFR will begin taking delivery of a new fleet of state-of-the-art ambulances starting in January 2016.  The upgraded units feature a large variety of passenger safety systems in addition to providing a more comfortable ride.  EMS Captain Jack Sides is quoted in a Community Impact article describing some of the upgrades: “The new units will be equipped with a liquid springs suspension system, which will be a great improvement over the more heavy duty suspensions used in medium duty trucks”.
