Each Memorial Day, the City of Plano along with several other service organizations meet at Memorial Park to honor US veterans who paid the ultimate price in their fight for our freedom.

Softball Fundraiser Raffle Winners

The PFR Softball team successfully sold all 100 tickets to their fundraiser. PFRA was also a beneficiary to the fundraiser as the team donated $1000 towards our scholarship program. Thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket, and congratulations to these winners!

Search & Rescue K9 at March Meeting

Andi Sutcliffe and her K9 Skye provided a great presentation and live search demo at the March PFRA meeting.

Andi, Skye, and Ken Sutcliffe are members of TXTF-1 and TXTF-2 and have most recently served tours of duty with Hurricane Harvey and the parking garage collapse in downtown Dallas.

Plano Fire Explorers Challenge Coins

For twenty-five years, Plano Fire-Rescue has partnered with Learning For Life to provide young adults ages 14 to 20 the opportunity to discover their future while developing their character, leadership and organizational skills. Explorers are provided with an opportunity to discover all aspects of the fire and emergency medical services while gaining knowledge and hands-on experience that will help prepare them for a career in service to others. Plano Fire-Rescue Explorers have proven abilities to make positive impacts within their teams and communities.

The coins are only $20 each and 100% of the proceeds from coin sales will go to supporting Plano Fire’s Explorer Post 215.
