PFR will begin taking delivery of a new fleet of state-of-the-art ambulances starting in January 2016. The upgraded units feature a large variety of passenger safety systems in addition to providing a more comfortable ride. EMS Captain Jack Sides is quoted in a Community Impact article describing some of the upgrades: “The new units will be equipped with a liquid springs suspension system, which will be a great improvement over the more heavy duty suspensions used in medium duty trucks”.
